Arrival Story:
My boyfriend had saw a cute Boston Terrier puppy in the pet store and sent me a picture when I was traveling for 3 weeks in New Orleans. He knew I was sad after losing our Buster a few weeks prior. After I returned, we went on Mother's Day to visit him and brought along Max and Mckayla to see how they would interact. They got along fine. Max, of course, was not sure of this puppy as he was being grumpy old Max at the time. There was another family looking at the BTas well as a Pug. We decided to leave the store and see if the other family would take the BT home. If not, we would seriously think about the pup. The next week the BT was still there and looking for a home. He had been in the store for 2 months or more by this point. I had started looking at names just in case we did end up with a new dog. I liked the name Madden as it meant the decendant of the hounds. Also, I wanted to stay with the M name theme. Another two weeks went by and one night my boyfriend drove by where I was working to visit me. It just so happened to be close to the pet store. He, of course, had to stop by and visit him. In doing so, he learned he was on clearance. No pup or dog should be on a clearance sale. My boyfriend told me but I was still not convinced that we were ready for another dog. On my way home from work, I saw my boyfriend driving in front of me. I called him to ask why he was not home already. He tried to convince me it was not him but license plates do not lie. He was acting strange. He went the long way home so that I pulled into the driveway first. He pulled in and got out of the car. We were talking and I asked why he was being so weird. All of a sudden I saw this little black and white head with the biggest ears pop up on the passenger seat. My boyfriend had rescued him from his pet store life. Madden even came with a name tag, crate, toys, food, and his green harnness and leash. My boyfriend had thought of everything. Madden officially became a member of the moo doggy family on June 1, 2007. Madimoo is a character. He keeps Maximoo on his toes, Mckaylamoo forever playing and Snappy (the cat) always running!
