Mom says I have come a long way as I am not trying to bite everybody anymore. I bark @ people when they come to the dooor or come in the house, but if the ignore me & mom says it is ok, then I quiet down.
I have been very good about not interfereing with Merlin & M.J.'s fighting ,too. I used to attck Merlin for fighting with the baby, but not anymore. The baby is grown up now & can fight for himself. He makes me mad @ times still, tho. Then I will bite him. But I love playing with M.J. & cuddling with mom & walking with dad. I REALLY LOVE my daddy. He is the best human ever!

When we first got Golly, they told us he had been sold to Nancy's sister @ 6 weeks old. The sister kept him a few weeks, but the children were supposed to care for him. They didn't. He was very neglected, so they brought him back to Nancy. Nancy's little girl (1 1/2 yr old) carried the pups around alot & not surprisingly Golly now has fear aggression.
Although he loves people from a distance, strangers can't touch him with out his nipping them. So I have my work cut out for me. I have had schooling in animal science & know how to deal with the aggression. We warn new people to let him come to you & sniff you first. Be very still around him. Any sudden movements scare him.
Well here we are a year later & he is a great dog! Still gets nippy when little kids come up to him & wanna pull on him, but I am very careful & stay close by. He is very protective of me & daddy. The Dingo in his dddy, is an African Wild Dog. They are a very aggressive dog. We didn't find out til a few months after bringing him home what the father was mixed with.
We found this out because we were walking the boys around the horseshoe & came upon Golly's mom & her owners. He asked if we were bringing golly back because of the aggression. We said no way. He is doing very well with us. The guy proceeded to tell us then what Scrappy's breed was. Scrappy is Golly's dad.
So there it is! a bad situation made better & a very good dog!
