Leave a bone for Longshot ***ADOPTED*** Birthday: June 12th 2006 Arrival Story: Losing a dog fight saved his life! Like the action hero he was named after, Longshot's incredible luck allowed him to escape a very, very difficult situation. What started as a misfortune for this poor boy, actually turned out to be his salvation. Longshot owes his life to the quick action of a nice couple in Kansas City who witnessed him being victim of a terrible act of cruelty. Longshot, who is obviously a lover, not a fighter, had just lost his first dog fight and was about to be killed by his tormentor since he wasn't any good to him anymore. The couple who happened to drive by as this ordeal was taken place, stepped in to save Longshot's life and this happy boy is now safe in our program. Longshot is so happy, even in a boarding situation that can easily break many dogs spirits he seems to keep his high. Anytime a volunteer comes near his run he starts wiggling his butt and gives this sweet look as if he is saying "Is it my turn for love?" He really does get so happy over the smallest things. He would definitely give his all to anyone to show him love, it is clear that he is a lover not a fighter. Bio: Please see Longshot's MPR page for more photos and information.
