 Quick Bio:
Likes: Chase his squaky ball, play toss with himself, chase the foster kittens aroudn the house

Pet-Peeves: Loudly shut doors, unexpected noises, being trapped in a room without people

Favorite Toy: His rope & tennis ball tug toy or his rag monkey

Favorite Food: Cheese and yogurt tie for first, peanut butter is a close second

Favorite Walk: To visit his friend Zelda the lab and help her torment Moses the cat

Best Tricks: Maki knows "sit", "stay", "off", "go get it" (fetch), "bring it back" (the second part of fetch), "drop it", "up", and we're working on "leave it."

Arrival Story: Maki is a rescue dog. He came into the shelter late one night while I was working as a volunteer. He was skinny, dirty, sick, and scared to death! I couldn't let him stay at the shelter and get sicker, so I decided to take him home as a foster... and fell in love with him. I simply couldn't give him up!

Bio: Maki LOVES attention, and will pretty much do anything to get it. - including jump on you unexpectedly. He is working on his manners, but he just gets so excited he can't stand himself! His mommy thinks its cute. :-) He does not like unexpected noises at all, like people in the hallway or the phone ringing, and will bark until the noise stops (even if mommy says no).
He's learning to respect his new cat sister Hope, since she is NOT a kitten and NOT fond of playing chase. Claws increase his learning curve substantially. Maybe I could talk Hope into helping with the potty training...

My Full Name: Makoto Doo Patton - Makoto means "honest one." Maki got this name because every time he does something bad, he gives himself away by running to his crate and hiding before I even catch him! He tattles on himself!
