Hegel was euthanized yesterday (20MAR05) due to health issues. He was a wonderful friend and Lola and I will both miss him immensely.

The human and I played catch last night. I layed down in bed and she tossed me the ball. Most of the time I didn't catch it, in which case she'd go and get it and throw it again. When I did catch it I'd give it a couple good chews and then put it down so she could throw it again. I like this game. It's relaxing. Today was a good day because we got pig ears. Pig Ears days are always good days!

You don't get to be as old as I am by BEING A CARELESS FOOL! Yeah. Lola thought she was going to swindle me out of the ball I took back from her last night. After I rightfully obtained the ball (it IS mine) she tried to lull me into complacency by licking my face. Hmmph. I like having my face licked, it's nice and soothing, but I wasn't about to let my guard down. I tucked the ball under my chin and rested my head on it. She could lick my face all day long, but she wasn't going get that ball back, well, not while I was awake, anyway.
