Birthday:

Likes:
Pouncing and stalking Camper's tail. Hanging on Camper's face. Playing with toys. Going to Puppy class and barking at my classmates.

Pet-Peeves:
When Camper barks his serious "I mean it" German Shepherd bark because it scares me. Mom insisting that I take naps. I'm a big kid; doesn't she see that? My x-pen prison. I hate it!

Favorite Toy:
My Hedgehog which is almost as big as Zamboni. It's huge and it grunts at me!

Favorite Food:
Fresh meat: Chicken, turkey, salmon (I love salmon!), lamb, mackerel, sardines, pork. I thought beef was kind of weird though. I spit it out about 5 times before I finally ate it. Does anyone actually eat this stuff on purpose?

Favorite Walk:
Hiking through the forest, running around, following Camper. It's great!

Best Tricks:
Sit, Down, Take a Nap (which is like play dead, but less scary), Roll Over, Twirl, Wait (which I'm not super good at, because I'm not really patient),.. and my favorite of all - Come because I always get snacks when I Come to Mom and Dad!

Arrival Story:
Mom researched all of the beagle breeders in the world. Finally, she found the best breeder ever, who is in California, which makes sense because all of our family is from California (except Camper, but he's a Goofball). So then Mom flew down, met me, saw that I am the most adorable, wonderful, smartest and fastest beagle ever. (Oh wait, Zamboni says she is all of those things, and I am the second of all those things. Okay.) Anyhow, Mom picked me because I am the second-most perfect beagle. A couple weeks later, she and Camper drove down from Washington, picked me up, and I have been part of Team Camper since. (Zamboni says that we're not actually called Team Camper. But he's bigger than me, so if he says we are, I'm not going to argue with him.)

Welcome to Mérida's diary. I am Campeche, your favorite Dogster correspondent.

Mérida is a tiny puppy and is still living with her dog-mom and littermates at her breeder's house. We just received an email that she is doing well. Since I am the official historian for my family, I will continue to keep apprised of all Mérida's activities in my diary.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you,
Camper
