Bio:
Bonnie is the "wild child." Her foster dad calls her his "One-Eyed Jack(ie)." She is not destructive or a problem, she just has a lot of puppy energy and now that she has the bad eye removed (she has glaucoma) and is no longer in pain, she is making the best of life. As you can see, she's a very beautiful, long, shiny mostly black basset hounds with some of the longest, silkiest ears ever. So far she has not had a problem with other dogs or with people and is very good about going outside to do her business. She's a good eater, but not a hog. She doesn't seem to have any problems from her past and should fit right in with a family that wants to love a little "wild child" until she's a fantastic senior citizen. After her visit to the veterinary ophthamologist, Bonnie was diagnosed with Goniodysgenesis. This disorder of the eye is found to be common in the basset hound breed and always leads to the development of glaucoma and eventually blindness with removal of the affected eye. At this time, Bonnie is healthy and her remaining eye is normal.
