Lilly's Journal

Plastic yellow pool.

With the weather being 104 degrees outside lately here in TX and sometimes the dogs are outside more often than inside the big plastic pool was a great investment. I just change the water every 48 hours or so to prevent mosquitoes etc...
Lilly loves the pool best she will lay down in the water and runs in it every time I fill it up. I guess that's her roots coming out maybe the water dog in her b/c she is part poodle.
Grooming her is a hassle. I must bathe and brush her often to prevent matting on her fluffy coat. I should update pictures b/c she's grown a lot and her coat is thicker now than these old pictures. It is high maintenance and if my husband had more patients she would be indoor only but since he doesn't she spends more time outside so it's harder for me to keep up with the grooming. I potty trained Oscar by keeping him in every room I went into -not letting hi out of my site so I could figure out the signs that he need to be let out. It takes the whole family effort to house break the dog, but I think she's catching on. She wont go into her crate like Oscar though. But What I was saying is that she loves the outdoors so much and she is a Tom boy. She digs and gets wet and muddy and shakes the bows out of her ears after a proffessional grooming. And she is hyper! Oscar just stares at her as she jumps around like a punk rocker or someone having a seizure. She is a mess but cute as can be.

First tooth

Lilly lost her first tooth sometime recently and you can see the other one erupting throught the gumline. She like raw hide bones but Oscar is still a puppy at heart and want's to have anything she's having even if there are other rawhide bones right infront of him.

P.S. Lilly is 5 month's old we figure that translates to about 3 and a half years in human years, so she is too young to write her own diary yet.. That's why her entries will be from her human~ for now. Stay tuned!
