My Day

What a Day :/

I've been sick and getting sicker... Tuesday I went to the vet and was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. Well it's only been getting worse. Today I refused to eat and drink water. Well that only led to me feeling worse... I started coughing and then I'd throw up. I wouldn't quit shaking/tremmoring. I was not happy. I refused to play or even get out of my cage.

The family took me to an after hours pet hospital because they were worried about me. I was diagnosed with pneumonia (just starting) and was given a different antibiotic. They even put a water bubble underneath my skin so I would be hydrated... When I got home I was bouncing around, playing like I've never played before and sooo happy!! I'm sleeping now.

The vet wants me to be fed 6 times a day for the next few days, then 4 times a day for a few weeks...

I like A/D formula canned food... Mommy is going to have to buy that for me as my food for a while. Yay! I'm feeling better.

Guess I just needed hydration and some food.

Dang vet bills. Oh well, we'll get over it.

Update: Aww I was constipated! Mommy had to pull the last bit of poopy out of my bum... Hopefully now I'll start feeling much better. And perhaps I'll start to eat!

UPDATE: I had a siezure. It lasted about 5 seconds. Happened about 2am. I was then fed baby food via syringe. About a teaspoon full after heating it up a tiny bit.

I'm getting more active now that I'm feeling better. I've peed twice since the siezure. I'm up and playing around now in my enclosure. Godmommy is staying up with me to make sure I'm ok. She is going to feed me baby food every two hours.

Wish me luck.

Not feeling well

I'm not feeling well today. I don't think I'm eating enough. Maybe I'm just tired and feeling bad because I have KC. I don't know. Mommy is worried about me.

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

Frustrating

Today was frustrating. I have been in my enclosure all night and day and my mommy hasn't taken me out to play. I've been barking and whining constantly for her attention but she was sleeping. I think she might be exhausted mentally and physically by my energy. Luckily my godmommy came home and played with me. She took me outside and I romped around in the grass for a while then I cought a whiff of prey! I tracked it as best as I could for quite a while on the patio. Never did find it though.

Mommy woke up as godmommy started preparing me for the trip outside. Luckily I am getting the hang of the wee wee pads. It's confusing to me at times. I don't understand why I should potty inside the house. But I was adopted before I was potty trained as I am only 9 weeks old.

I have a lot of energy and drink a lot of water. I'm not too keen on eating my food as it just isn't palatable. Mommy mixes my kibbel with canned food but I just don't like it.

I will eat a bit here and there just so I don't get sick and lose weight.

I have kennel cough right now and mommy feeds me a pink antibiotic twice a day. Hopefully the cough will go away soon. I hate coughing.

I love to lay and sleep in mommy's arms. She is so comfortable! The feeling of her arm supporting me as I sleep is just heavenly. I make sure to give mommy tons of kisses to show her how happy I am that she loves me and holds me.

I'm relaxing right now in my den. I love the blanket inside. It's very warm and comfortable.

I hope tomorrow I get to play outside a lot now that the weather isn't so hot and horrible.

My favorite thing to do outside is play in the coriopsis. Here is picture of what it looks like. It' sooo soft to romp around in.
