Mmmm... carpet!

I have discovered that it is fun to chew carpet. There is a nice little spot by the kitchen that Tetsuya had started on a year or so ago and then left it alone. Well, I discovered it and I decided the masterpiece needed more work... so I had a little chew on it. Dad caught me and made me stop. Then a few minutes later Mom caught me and she made me stop as well. I will get that carpet again... it is only a matter of time.

Get well cards...

I received three get well cards today from some of my Shiba Forum pals! Thank you pups so much! Winnie sent me a postcard with her picture on it - she is sitting there smiling. At the bottom of the picture it says "Cheeeeese!" There is even a shiba stamp. How pawsome!

Remy and Guinness sent me a card with a golden retriever on it. He has an ice pack on his head and is sipping some orange juice with a straw in it. That card says on the front, "Sorry you're not feeling well" and on the inside it says, "Take good care of yourself and get well soon!"

Yuuki, Raven Ember, and Cricket (the cat) sent me a card that has a dachsund in bed with a themometer in his mouth and a box of Kleenex next to him. The card reads on the front, "You'll be back..." and on the inside, "... on your paws in no time! Feel better soon." They also enclosed a PetSmart gift card.

Is this a bath or is Mom baking cookies?

Mom gave me a bath today. First she washed me with a vanilla/walnut shampoo and then rinsed me off and washed me with Southbark's Blueberry Facial. I smell nice and really didn't mind the bath too much. I only tried to jump out once. Mom and Dad took some pictures of me in the tub. Now they are saying I am squeaky clean... I haven't squeaked once.

Splish splash

I just want to say that playing and splashing around in the water bowl is so much fun. I made a nice puddle of water on the carpet that Mom had to clean up. If any of you haven't splashed in your water bowl before - I highly recommend you try it.

I went swimming today!

Mom took Tetsuya and I to the San Marcos River today. I had a fun time going swimming! I hope I get to go again sometime soon. You can view the videos here:

Puppy Kindergarten II

I had Puppy Kindergarten II class today. It was fun... I got lots of treats. We worked on further establishing my reward marker word. (My word is ichigo which is strawberry in Japanese.) We also worked on getting our paws, ears, tail, etc. touched. We did sit a few times and we worked on walking on a loose lead. I must say though... the best part was the treats.

Swimming... Dog Park... and Shiba Zoomies

Yesterday Tetsuya and I met up with our pal Kuma. We went swimming in the San Marcos River. I had a lot of fun swimming - you can see a video of that here:

Afterward s we went to the dog park and ran around. That was a blast. Tgere was a little kiddie pool there and I went and cooled off in it for a bit. Then we came home and ran around and played in the living room and also the backyard. What a fun day!

Shiba Meetup

I had fun at the shiba meetup today at the Round Rock Dog Park. Besides my brother and I there were two other shibas there. One was an older female named Sedona and the other was a 5 month old puppy named Sadie. It was fun, but it got hot out there so we left after an hour and a half. A gift for Mom

I brought Mom a nice big tasty June bug in from the backyard. She opened my mouth and it fell onto the floor. She didn't seem too happy about it. She kept saying, "Eww," and "Its guts are hanging out!" She asked Dad to pick it up - he just handed her a paper towel and made her do it. She threw the gift I brought her in the trash. I think she should have put it on display or something.

Snack time at Puppy Kindergarten II

During our socialization at the end of class today while all the other puppies were busy playing I noticed someone left their treat bag open on the floor. Well, guess what I made a b-line for... the treats! I stuck my whole head in the bag and chowed down - everyone laughed - but, unfortunately the treat bag was then closed. So, no more treats for me - I got a few though.

Then, this lab puppy came charging up and wanted to play with me. He was far too hyper for my taste for I barked at him and gave him a piece of my shiba mind. Well, then the instructor had Mom put me back on the leash. I could still play, but not off leash. A little later a mastiff puppy got too close for comfort and I barked at her too. There was an Australian shepherd puppy I had fun playing with though. She was just my size - the perfect puppy play size.
