Leave a bone for Margot - RIP 2/24/88 - 9/16/03

Arrival Story:
My mom bought Margot as a puppy from a breeder in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, my mom worked long hours and lived in an apartment, and she didn't feel like Margot was getting the attention she deserved. So, my mom gave her to my grandparents who also had a male German Shephard mix. Surprise, surprise...Margot got pregnant and had a litter of puppies. When my grandparents decided to keep one of the puppies, they decided that they couldn't keep Margot as well. So, I said Iwanted her. She was about 1 year old when she came to live with me.
Margot was an awesome dog! I know that everyone says that about their dogs, but she really was special. We laugh about how she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but she had the best personality ever. She's been gone for 5 years and my vet says she still thinks about Margot. She was 5 months shy of her 16th birthday when we had to put her to sleep. It took me a while before I was ready to have another pup. She's still greatly missed!

Whenever you visit my grave, say to yourselves with regret but also happiness in your hearts at the remembrance of my long happy life with you: "Here lies one who loves us and whom we loved." No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you, and not all the power of death can keep my spirit from wagging a grateful tail.
