everything has a smell...right?

Wow! my mom took me to Los Angeles this week. I've never seen the ocean before. We stayed at a Lowes hotel in Santa Monica and my mom said I was being more pampered than the humans. The staff was really cool and always came up to give an ear scratch:) They even brought me a welcoming kit with a placemat and bowls and treats and Fiji water! Mom said I was very spoiled:) The hotel even has a room service menu for dogs and cats. Totally cool! I really recommend it for traveling pups.

lake mead...

This week my mom took me to the lake. Well on the lake really. She rented a house boat and we stayed ON the water...It took about a day for me to stop freaking out when the earth was moving when I wasn't but she taught me "couch" so now I know when she says "couch" I can jump on the couch and the moving isn't so bad.
There were ducks and big horn sheep to look at and play with (the sheep just stared at me when I was talking to them...wierd) the only thing I didn't really like was the water. My mom kept telling me that other bloodhounds swim but I dunno. I like to go in up to my belly but the floating things not so fun. I did swim once or twice so my mom's really happy cuz she said she wants to make sure I can in case I fall off or sumthin, since I'm a little clumsy:) I have a big red life jacket too just in case.
All in all it was really fun with so many new sniffs and things to look at and chase. :)
