Yippee... it's snowing outside! And, I got the first snow photo and my good Mom already put it up on my page!!! Unfortunately, then it got dark and we came inside. Now we are watching out the windows.
Hurray... the plow just went by, that means it's still snowing... YES!!! Unfortunately, Skye didn't stay over so I will have to play in it tomorrow without her help. Oh well, Mom can still take some photos. I hope she takes me out with Alfie. I love to watch puppies discovering snow for the first time. She just went out to pee, but it's dark out there so I couldn't see what she thought of it. I do know that Darrell, from Florida, no less, was very happy to see it. He's been here four years now and he STILL loves a good snowstorm. Attaboy, Darrell! Then there is Ali... she went bounding out the door, got to the end of the porch and saw all that white. She stopped dead in her tracks and peed on the porch. Some dogs just don't get it!!!
I was just lying here on my dog bed, (the one I won at the dog show, mind you!), and I happened to hear the weather forecast for tomorrow. Instantly, my ears perked up! He said it was going to be sunny and cold tomorrow morning. Yeah, no problem with that. Then he said it was going to get very cloudy around noon. Okay, maybe when Mom gets out of work we can have some photos outside...she likes cloudy. Then, he said we were going to get four or five inches of snow!!!! SNOW!!!!!!!!!! Yippee... I am soo bored with blah brown trees and weeds and brown everything. SNOW... I love to run in snow. I love to watch it fall softly around me, and I just plain LOVE snow. And, my Skye is going to be here tomorrow, too. Maybe I can convince her to stay overnight and we can play in the snow on Sunday. Mom can take photos of us playing in the snow! Yes!! SNOW!!!
I am going to bed right now so tomorrow will come faster!!! Catch ya later.
I do miss Jenny, especially when times like yesterday come up. Ya see, it was me and Mom going off to get a Christmas Tree. Had Jenny been here we would have shared the experience. As it was, I had to go all by myself. I had to eat the Micky D's burger all by myself, and I had to sit in the car seat all by myself without being pushed off it. And, I had to run thru the Christmas Tree lot and eat all the treats the people gave me all by myself! Hey, why did I miss Jenny????????
Anyway, me and Mom went to find the perfect tree. The first place only had big, huge ones. They looked fine from the road, but when we drove in it was obvious they were HUGE. We didn't even stop at the second place even though they had some small ones on display. Mom said they had been there since way before Thanksgiving and it was too warm this year for them to be cut that long...all their needles would fall off way, way too soon. So, we went out to Mom's favorite place. It's away from the main road so I even got to run around and help Mom chose the best one. We had finally decided which one we wanted when the man came with some more that he had just cut down that afternoon! Mom looked at those and found a perfect one, about five feet tall! So, we got that one and hurried home to put it up. Fortunately, we have HIGH ceilings in this old house because five feet is still a pretty big tree, even sitting on top of a big dog crate!!! I helped Mom make sure it was nice and straight before she wired it to the wall. (Mom has spent lots of years with lots of dogs and lots of Christmas trees... now ours is always wired to the walls!!!) Anyway, while we ate our dinner, Mom got out all the lights and stuff, and when we came back into the room there was a beautiful lighted tree up there for all to see! Now, it really seems like Christmas, even though it was 60 degrees here today!!! At least the warm weather releases the Christmas tree smell better... it is like a natural air freshner and we like it!!! Mmmmmmm.
