Arrival Story:
She was a stray with a terrible burn on her back. She was covered with ticks and very skinny. A neighbor called to see if anyone wanted her. She lives with my ex-husband, but I help take care of her.

Dot Dot had been mistreated and neglected. We will love her as we do all our fur children, just like we do our human children.

I'm so thankful for my furever home!

There I was wandering, wandering, wandering. Day in, day out. Rain or shine. The nights were the scariest for a little stray Doxie. That was me not too long ago. Some mean person had burned my back very badly. I don't remember how I escaped. All I remember is I had to get away from there. I ran and ran and ran. I ran through weeds and became covered with ticks. Oh! They would bite me so much! I would try and try, but I couldn't get them off me. I don't know now if I was running from the burn, the rain, the ticks, or the loneliness. One day I was passing this lady's house. She saw me outside and called my new daddy to see if he wanted me. Of course, he said yes! Then he called my new mommy. She and my daddy are not married anymore, but they are still good friends. So all of a sudden, I had a family! I am living at my daddy's house for now, but Mommy comes to see me every day. I have been to the vet for a bath, shots, heartworm preventive, de-ticking (thank goodness), and medicine to heal my burned back. I feel sooooooooo much better! I have a soft bed to sleep in and lots of toys. I have good food and vitamins. No more wandering or sleeping in the rain for me! My burn is healing too. Mommy said something about a "big girl surgery" in the near future. I'm not sure what that is, but Mommy says it is for the best. Mommy and Daddy are going to celebrate my birthday every year on May 1, the day they found me. I am one year old now. I can't wait to meet my Doxie brother, Benny. He lives with Mommy. I hope he likes me, so we can be playmates. What a lucky girl I am to have found my furever home!
