Arrival Story:
I went to the animal shelter in Salem, MA thinking I was just looking, and found a little sandy there, only 4 months old. She was just laying around lazily in her crate. When I took her outside, she plopped her butt down and refused to move anywhere. So stubborn! I thought, "Now this is my type of dog!" I fell in love with her on the spot and brought her home 20 minutes later, and we've been together ever since. She's still just as stubborn.

Bio:
Sandy's very strong and althelitc, but she's extremely mellow inside the house. She is also extrmely stubborn. She's very sweet and wags her tail whenever a new person approaches. She reminds me of Eeyor with her droopy hound face and mellow demeanor. She loves to hunt small animals and is a great hiker! She will stay on the trail and come back to me as soon as I whistle.

it's hard to describe sandy in a nuttshell... how do i begin? well here 't goes: Sandy is your typical hound. she grunts, she groans, she farts, she burbs. She wolfs down her food in 2 seconds flat. She whines constantly to get her way, and she destroys everything she can get her hands on. You name it- DVDs, books, decorations, trash cans, couches, beds. Seriously anything. She loves the outdoors and she has a little pack of dog friends in the neighboorhood that she loves to annoy.
