Sorry for skimping yesterday! I was soooo worn out....and so was Mummy. So here's the scoop:
I went to the dock! You know, the fishing area place. And guess what? I ran into TWO boy schnauzers just my size! Sniff here, sniff there, I was sniffing everywhere! Oh, and they were sniffing, too. Lots of fun. Other than that, my time at the dock was pretty boring.
After that, I traveled BACK to the hotel room to get some beauty rest.
THEN, I went to the beach again, to sit by the the chair and felt the nice wind.
Pretty normal day. But it was nice. I feel a bit sad that we are packing up this instant....
It was a great time, though! I recommend the beach to ANY dog ready for adventure!
Ciao!

Day numero dos on this sand-land called the beach Today was fun, considering I go just about everywhere. Today's most exciting "everywhere" was the Port Isabel Light House! Unfortunately, it was closed, meaning I couldn't climb all the way up those stairs...BUT, I got to run around and sniff the place! A good thing, considering I'd been in the hotel room a lot of the time....which, gets boring, by the way.
Next stop? None other than the dunes! Since Hurricane Dolly hit, there were LOTS of shells and stuff. Mummy kept picking them up...BIG DEAL...they're just beautified rocks. Know what's beautiful? Some sea gulls, scrambling away in fear from.....
.....DUN DUN DUUUNNN. THE LIL'STER. COMING TO GET THOSE GULLS GONE.
Ah, what bliss. THEN~to-Where else? The beach! Of course, I didn't go in the water, so I just kinda relaxed on the sand, in my wet yellow tee shirt (I got tuckered out after running in the dunes). Mummy practically ABANDONED me to go swimming in the foamy waves...why are they so great? They look like they could eat me up! Anyway...At the end, I guess I WAS tired....and grumpy. Grumpy enough to embarrass Mummy. Guess what I did?
A little friendly toy poodle mix came up to me, OUT OF NOWHERE, and, like, virtually assaulted me. I mean, it came out of the blue, and started jumping on me. Not fun for a tired schnauzer. I yelped and jumped, startled, and I guess it ticked off the poodle. It started growling and snapping a bit, but Mummy picked me up and the poodle wanted me down again. Guess it wanted to apologize. I'd have none of it. I didn't want to deal with a hyperactive curly-haired dog. Mummy looked around for an owner, but saw none. She couldn't just leave a little 6-pound dog on the beach. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but you don't take butt-tired schnauzer and expect her to feel sorry for another out-of-control dog. Eventually, a guy called for her and she was returned to her rightful place-on a leash, under control by an owner.
All in all, it was a busy day. Hopefully it will be busier tomorrow!
Ciao!

The title should of given it away. That's right-I'm on VACATION(don't worry, I packed my bags....clothes and all)! Where? The beach, duh! And oh, is it new and shiny. The hotel room is dog friendly and there are a few other pups around...that's good and bad news, FYI. Ugh, so first, I went down by the waves. I dipped my paws and got a tad wet, but after that....let's say the water wasn't the highlight of my day.
So anyway, after retreating to the sand, this dude showed up with his Jack Russel Terrier. Mummy strongly dislikes the majority of this breed, with a couple exceptions. The monstrosity was leaping at it's leash and barking and growling at me, and guess what Smart-Guy-JRT-owner did? While I thought it was safe from the monster since he was leashed, the owner LET THE THING GO. Yeah, as in took off its leash. Take a wild guess at the first thing the dog did. ATTACKED ME. Like, literally ran as fast as his legs could go to run up to me and attack me. The guy was far off, and I'm a good girl...I didn't really fight back much. So Mummy took action. She ended up having to kick the dog off of me, worrying for my safety. Its owner came to retrieve his vicious little beast and sheepishly apologized. That was the end of that!
Then, a friendly beagle came up to me and we exchanged sniffing each other. I get along really well with ya, if you're nice! I also had a brief sniff with a lab mix.
Don't forget I got lotsa attention from people of all ages. ;) I've gotten used to it. The paparazzi, you know, the works....Okay, I don't have paparazzi, but close enough!
Then I just chilled in the nice, comfy, couch & tempur-pedic bed hotel room.
Action packed day! Is that a good thing? You decide.
Ciao!
