Arrival Story:
Jake was my first foster dog and I intended to find him a home, but he fit into my life immediately. It didn't hurt that he was the cutest, most fun, and energetic friend with huge ears. I could not bear to find him a home other than mine and we have been adventure pals for the last 8 years. He tricked me into thinking he was very obedient. Little did I know that he had mastered the art of selective hearing and remembering.

Bio:
Jake has done it all - mountain biked, climbed mountains, cross-country skied, downhill skied, run trails, crossed the country by car and airplane, swum rivers, camped in the wild, been to agility school, rafted whitewater, kayaked and performed great frisbee feats. His buddy Ramsey has done most of this too, but Jake has an unmatched enthusiasm for activity and I have a suspicion that Ramsey has always preferred to just go along where we go. I have no idea what kind of mix he might be, but he can see a squirrel in a tree a long ways away, hear a cat meow at remarkable distance, run down a frisbee, chase waves, and eagerly retrieve sticks in the river (although the Labs are faster swimmers). He is very brave at the vet, talks constantly at me, and is a sucker for women, but is pretty wary about men.
