Arrival Story:
We were searching for a puppy..and decided on a GSD...we found a breeder in Southern Maryland and she was having a litter that day...so we talked it over and decided we wanted one. That was on Veterans Day 2003 we couldnt have him until Jan 9 2004. We drove almost two hours to get this lil furball but it was well worth it. The night we got him, he was fussy in the truck so we turned on guns and roses and he went right to sleep. He constantly makes us laugh and smile, he has a excellent personality and sometimes we think he is human. We are also trying to figure out who has who trained cause it seems like Cherokee is the boss and we are just living in his world hahaha. He is a great companion and protector although he does not look very scary he will hurt whoever hurts his mommy and daddy!
Bio:
Cherokee comes from Mattenburcherland Kennels in Mechanicsville Maryland. Pat is the breeder and she is fantastic. Cherokee comes from a line of showdogs. Msttenburcherland kennels also has a location in Germany.

hello fellow pups...it has been awhile...so sorry but I have been busy.
Got some good news a couple weeks ago I gained 6 pounds, and yes it is a good thing. Mommy and daddy were getting worried with how skinny I was getting, you can feel my spine and see my heart beating. Luckly now I am gaining weight, the vet says that I am perfectly healthy despite the weight issue. Mom and dad finally got married in october, and I got to spend a week at a push puppy resort..they gave me a bath, tons of attention and well let me do whatever I wanted...life was sweet! We are going to be moving..at least that is what the rumors are. Time for a bigger house... apparently I am not going to be the baby anymore...mom and dad want to have a baby sometime soon. Mommy promises I will always be her furbaby and that is good enough for me.
Well I think that is all for now.. its abeautiful day here...time to go cause some trouble!

Hey pups..sorry I have been away for so long. A lot has been going on here, mommy is back in school which means she hogs the computer. And my mommy and daddy are getting married, so they are very very busy. I went in last month for my yearly check up and shots. I love going to the vet, the girls there just love me they always give me abandanna to make me look studly. I got a fairly clean bill of health, I am slightly under weight so mommy is trying to fatten me up. Ths summer is fast approaching which means good times are a coming... time to break out my life jacket, I hope it still fits. I heard mommy and daddy talking and this summer we will be spending a lot of time at the shore in nj and the shore in md.. woohoo!!
well im off to go eat some ice cubes and chicken...

Whats up pups.its been awhile. I finally conned my mommy into typing up an entry for me. Lets see last time I made an appearance here was in July and a lot has happened since then. We went to the campground a lot this summer, and I went on the boat and in the water a lot too. Nobody thought I would like to swim, but I do! In September my daddy went away for like ever, 2 weeks, so mommy and I went home one weekend. It was fun I love cruising with mom , she puts the windows down for me and lets me bark at the toll takers. They all think I am so cute, I wish they thought I was a scary pup.
Sunday mom, dad and I carved pumpkins for Halloween. Mom carved mine for me, the pattern was perfect¡Kfour paw prints. If any of you all would like this for next year email my mommy and me, we will send it to you. I did really good on Halloween I didn¡¦t scare any little ghoblins or ghosts hahah. Mom and Dad have been working on getting me to stop barking when I go outside, I think they forget I do this so bad guys know not to come in and try to hurt my mommy. Either way I am listening to them, but every once in a while I let out a big deep RUF!
My ears are acting up again, they hurt really bad.
Next week is my birfday, I will be 2 years old. I can not wait to get my presents. I think mom and dad might get me a big boy bed, and let me stay out of my crate. Thatd be great!!!
Grandmom and grnadpop are coming to visit this weekend. They are my dads mom and dad. I hope they remember to bring me a birfday present, or I wont let them be loving on me ļ
Not too much else happening for me¡K Oh wait I am filling out my skin as my mom says, finally my fur isn¡¦t too big!
