Birthday: February 23rd 1999 Likes: walks and toys Pet-Peeves: none...she loves it all Favorite Toy: Aflack the talking duck. Favorite Food: everything Favorite Walk: anywhere Best Tricks: manging to give tiny kisses, with that great big black tongue Arrival Story: One morning at about 5am..on a very busy street where we live...traffic was stopped in both directions. There was a tiny black furball holding up commute hour. When my husband ran out to try to save what he thought was a cat, a puppy jumped in his arms.
He brought her home and put her inside the fenced yard...and said "Hon, you won't believe what I found this morning, look in the front yard". When I went out there....nothing. I said to him "what are you funny"? Then he came out and started explaining...that there was a puppy..upon hearing his voice, this tiny black furball climbed back under our fence and ran to him again. She has never left since. She was never claimed by anyone else, so she became a permanent part of our family. The best dog in the world. Honest!
I don't have the heart to remove Nikki from her webpage, but she is no longer with us...she went quietly on Memorial Day 2010..a true soldier. She went to sleep in front of the fireplace, at the foot of my chair and did not wake...she lives is our hearts forever.
I don't know why I was so suprised just how many people loved her.
She is missed by many. The Last Forum I Posted In: Should I switch to senior dog food? I've Been On Dogster Since:
