After browsing through hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands) of online adoptable dog profiles in every town where any family member lives, SuzyQ's face came up via a rescue group in Truth-Or-Consequences, NM. She looked like a perfect, digital, mix of my two favorite, most fabulous dogs ever: Pixel, my recently deceased Jack-Beagle, and Danny, my Border Collie mix from my teenage years... I asked my sister in New Mexico to go check her out, immediately! A week later, we all converged in Palm Springs, CA, to do the doggy exchange... and then SuzyQ and I drove home to San Francisco, where she lives happily ever after.
