Oh my!

It's been almost a month since I wrote in my diary. What a naughty doggy I am. I guess I haven't written cuz there's not much new around here. My new pain medicine is working great. I have my appetite back and basically I am just a happy dog. Plus I have a lot of good napping spots and a cool little brother to play with. What more could a dog ask for?

Ouch!

This has been the week from heck! My new vet said I could start taking Rimadyl for my arthritis, but I had to have the aspirin out of my system for a whole week first so I wouldn't get an ulcer. Dang, have I been achey! But I've only got two more days to go. Yeah!

Ma had to change my weight on here. I went to a new vet yesterday for my check up and I lost 3 1/2 pounds. I really liked the new vet. So didn't Jack and ma and dad. We are switching for sure.

Dang ... life sux! My Auntie Emily is coming over Sunday to groom me and Jack. If that ain't bad enough, it means we have to have baths tomorrow! Dang!

Ma just ordered some new pills for me. Yummy, more peanut butter! The pills are for my arthritis and they're Glucosomine/Chondroitin. The vet thought it was a good idea. I'm already taking aspirin and they don't want to up my pain meds so we're trying this. I don't care. Like I said - MORE PEANUT BUTTER! Ma ordered them online from a place called Puritan's Pride and she got an awesome deal. 180 pills for $16.49 and only $3.95 shipping. They'll last me for 5 months! My ma is funny, she LOVES getting deals. LOL

Ok.ok. so I'm a naughty doggie for not keeping up on my diary, but you know how it is - senior moments and all. I forget to do stuff. Nothing much new is going on anyway. My biggest news is that ma got a free sample of Pup-peroni 50 calorie snacks in the mail! She read the package and there was no wheat or corn! So I got to split the pack with Jack. They were awesome. Ma promised to buy some when she goes shopping. Yeah!

Geez diary, I am so behind in my writing. Ma hasn't been feeling good so she hasn't been letting me on here. She has to turn the computer on - no thumbs, ya know. Anyways, I've been having some pretty good days lately. Ma did call the vet about the senility medicine and he said it was a no go. He says it looks good on paper but he hasn't seen good results and the risks ain't worth it. I trust my vet, so no extra peanut butter for me. Dang!
Oh yeah, and Auntie Emily bought over a whole bunch of these gourmet sausage treats! They're awesome. Ma cuts them up and puts them in MY treat jar. Jack get Snausages cuz wheat and corn don't bother him. Lucky guy! Ya know what I miss most? Pizza crust! LOL

I keep forgetting things, like how to get out of a corner and how to pee outside. I know it's worrying ma. She put a call into the vet about this senility medicine for me. She should hear from him today. I hope he decides to put me on it. It'll mean more peanut butter!

Ma is worried about me. I stay up wandering at night and sometimes I get myself "stuck" in a corner and just stand there. She thinks I'm getting a little senile. I told her don't worry about it, I'm just getting a tad forgetful. I still remember where my dog bed and my food are, so I'm good. Plus, I still love playing with my brother Jack so there's no need to write me off yet. Ma has promised though that if I get any more "forgetful" she will look into the new medicine they have. I don't mind taking pills. I'm already on aspirin and antibiotics and ma just gobs them in peanut butter. Yum! Plus i have an awesome vet, who will always do what's best for me. I love him!

Yesterday stunk! I didn't get hardly any attention from my ma. She spent all day working on the computer. First she had to get rid of some spyware my brother picked up and then she had to hook up a router. BORING! I bet today will be better though. She's already up bright and early and ready to spend the day with ME, ME, ME!
