He loves other dogs and all people.
So far he's very good natured, but he does think cats are toys and meant to be chased.
He loves those plush squeaky toys, but also like the tug rope and puppy kong.
Doesn't seem picky so far!
He loves to run around in the dog park with the other dogs
He should do VERY well in training
I found him running around a gas station parking lot on the side of the highway at 10:30 one night. The gas station attendant said he ran around the area frequently, so I decided to take him home with me instead of leaving him to get hit by a car.
He hasn't been to the vet yet, so we're not sure how old he is. My best guess would be a year or two old, he has a lot of energy and is in good physical shape, but is full grown. Right now he needs to be neutered, to get his basic shots, and to be micro chipped because he has a tendency to slip out of his collar. We would be willing to contribute to these costs and will do it ourself within the next week or so if he has not yet found a permanent home! I expect him to do very well in training because he is so smart and eager to please. He already knows not to beg for food or jump up on people.
I love everyone!

I'm up for adoption
Rocky is a very happy go lucky guy who loves to meet new people to play with and new doggies. He would love to go to a home with a doggie friend (preferably not a small dog, I think they would be intimidated by his energy), people to give him lots of attention and who can take him for walks, runs or hikes. He does have a tendency to slip the collar or to get out of the fence, so he needs to be supervised carefully. Rocky hates to be alone and want to be near you all the time. Even though he is exuberant, he's also very gentle and so would be fine with children who are old enough to know not to be rough with him. The kids in our neighborhood already love him!
Rocky will only go to a home that will neuter and micro chip him, that can commit to training him, and that knows he cannot be left in the backyard unattended even if it's fenced in because of his escape tendencies. He is going to make an amazing life long companion for the right person. He is currently staying with my parents and has won all of our hearts, unfortunately we have rescued kitties and he thinks they're toys. I'm actually crying as I write this because I'll be so sad to see him go. Like I said, someone will be very, very lucky to get him.
