noise (including that made by ladies wearing high heels); people carring "strange" and "scary" things; big, barking dogs; brushing (especially fur on the legs..)

pink panther :) and a yellow, virus-like ball with some jingling thing inside
Favorite Food:
Hmm... He eats only to survive ;) Veeeery fastidious.. but likes tuna and some of dog snacks. Some things are tasty today but will be boring tomorrow ;) It's hard task to feed a poodle ;)
Favorite Walk:
Everywhere outside the city - forests, lakes, meadows and places around the water :)
Best Tricks:
Bowing down, when he wants something ;) Or "talking" - making very funny sounds :)
Arrival Story:
I was looking for a poodle puppy in the internet and found a person who had 4 black males for sale. These puppies, unlike most of the dogs that I found in Poland, had uncut tails - that was important for me, because I wanted to have 100% of the dog :) I called the breeder to hear that puppies would be old enough next week. So I waited impatiently and bought Deryl (the biggest pup) one week before my bachelor's exam. That was quite crazy, because he consumed all of my time (he he, a good excuse for no more learning :D), but everything went good :)
Ah, the name. It's after Daryl van Horne from The Witches of Eastwick, but I had to change one letter to make it easier for people in Poland to pronounce it properly :)
Bio:
It's interesting that Deryl's father is silver and mother is white - and he is mostly black, with some faintly silver parts. When he was about 3 months old he started to change colour (silver poodles are black when they are born, and after some time they turn silver), but...stopped :) Now he is 1 year ols and still black. Nothing has changed for about 5-6 months .

Hello everybody :)
It's nice to see you reading our diary :)
This is the first entry, so I (on befalf of Deryl ;) ) should write something about us. So... we are from Poland and we live together since 6th July 2007. We train using positive reinforcement - Deryl is the 100% clicker dog and he's doing very well :) We focus mainly on skills that are useful in daily life but also learn some funny tricks :) Now we are perfecting coming to me and sitting by my left leg (I don't know an English word for that - I would appreciate any help ;) ) and off-leash heeling. When Deryl was younger it seemed to be too hard for him, so we have come back to it recently :) When we finish I'll share some video :)
