Wow,,,,it was cold cold cold today.....
So, our Dad told our Mommy, it was o.k. to light, her first fire, of the season.
Well, she did and it was something else!!
It was so so warm and just so nice.
It made all kinds of noises, but, not scary ones, but, just different, then the normal furnaces type noises.
I enjoyed it and so did everyone else.
Buddy didn't bring up any twigs for the fire, so I didn't either,,,,,
Hey, I don't know the good ones from the bad ones.
Good night!

Today, it was wet, windy and cold!!!
Our Dad said it was 52, but, it might as well have been zero, as far as I am concerned.....
I am a Florida dog, now living in Georgia,,,,, Yikes,,,,the news said it might get down into the 30's tonight,,,,double yikes!!
I might just stay in bed all day tomorrow, as I am now sleeping in Our Family waterbed,,,with a HEATER!!!!

Plus, when our Dad gets up first, in the morning, he tosses his covers, over me.....and I love it....
Butkus and Buddy tell me it is time, for Our Mom, to light her first fireplace,,,,should be fun,,,,
Buddy is in charge of bringing up twigs, from our backyard, to help start the fire,,,,,better believe that I will help him...
Will let you know how nice and warm it is,,,,,
Butkus says that it won't be that cold and not to worry...but, Our Mom will still probably have a fireplace going...
Later,
Amos

Snake in our house,,,,,,Yikes!

Right after the Cubs won today,, our Dad went downstairs to our basement, to get on the computer. Of course, us boys went with him.
While he was logging in on the computer, I saw something move, at his fishing rod rack.... A SNAKE!!!!
I charged it and tried to bite it,,,,,it hissed and tried to hurt me,,,,,Buddy got right there with me and it went under our Dad's computer desk...
Our Dad then got us out of the computer room and went and got one of his guns and loaded it with snake shot.
Before he could destroy the whole house,,,,he called 911 and his son Rob.
The police officer and Rob showed up at the same time. Only problem was, the police officer said he could give advise, but, could not shoot or touch it. Yikes again!!!
Well, they put us boys outside and searched the computer room for the snake.....
Well, Dad decided to get his 22 cal. pistol, from the 2nd drawer, of his desk, and guess what,,,,,the snake was wrapped around the pistol...
They tried to dump the drawer, into an empty cooler and it got out of that .
Our Dad, a pretty good fisherman, decided to use a 6'6" fishing rod, to snag the little guy. After, about ten time, he snagged that little sucker, as, he called it.
He snagged it with a white Chatter Bait Bass lure,
Our Dad and Rob, with the officer helping them,,,,took it to our lake and released it. Only problem was there was about six feet of fishing line attached to the lure.
The snake got snagged on some shoreline cover and would soon die...
Rob used a long pole and got the snake to our Dad, who cut the line and left the snake to go on its merry way.
We now have a water snake, swimming around our lake, with a 1/4 oz. white chatterbait, attached to it.....
I don't think the dog door will be open all of the way tomorrow!!!!

Our Dad says that I am THE HERO!!!!!
Hey, I lived in Florida, for most of my life.... I know what to do about snakes..
Well, I guess Another treat is in order.
