The vaccuum, when people he knows wear hats or get haircuts (when his Daddy got a super short haircut, Bear didn't recognize him and didn't want to let him in the house)

Who knows? He has two toyboxes full, and loves to spread them all out on the floor like he's the king of the world and roll around amoungst them.

Anywhere where he can swim
Best Tricks:
He can "count" to 3 (bark once, twice, three times), dance on his hind legs, as well as most standard obedience tricks- he's very smart and eager to learn.
Arrival Story:
Bear was born in the wild, living with a pack of dogs in an abandoned car. We got him when he was 11 weeks old. We were looking for a female dog, but saw his picture on petfinder.com and fell in love. He was the runt of the litter and had kennel cough, but he blossomed quickly.
Bear is our first dog. We had thought about getting a purebread German Shepherd Dog, but decided to go the rescue route instead. I'm so glad we did! Bear is so happy and smart. He was easy to train and is very loving and gentle. He loves kids and other animals, the picture to the left is of him kissing his favorite friend, our cat Elizabeth. He's protective but not agressive and is the constant bright spot in any day.
Bio:
We aren't ready to get another dog yet, but have been working as a foster home for a rescue group. Bear has friends to play with, and we feel like we're helping just a little. If anyone else is thinking about fostering, I'd highly recommend it. We've learned so much about dog behavior and training and have had a great time meeting lots of different types of dogs. Any fears I had about rescue dogs have been unfounded thus far, and its not too hard to give them up when you know they're going to good homes. Off my soapbox now..
