Likes:
Ellie LOVES her foster daddy! She also loves to play chase and fetch. She has an oral fixation, so she finds anything to hold in her mouth.

Pet-Peeves:
Ellie sometimes gets tired of playing with Tiger, our other foster dog, but she is a good sport. She also doesn't like it when people ring the doorbell.

Favorite Toy:
Anything she can put in her mouth.

Favorite Food:
RAW!! It has done amazing things for this dog.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere with her parents.

Best Tricks:
She can sit and stay.

Arrival Story:
Ellie had a very difficult life before we rescued her from the local kill shelter in Feb 2008. She had been thrown out of a moving vehicle with her litter mates as a puppy, but she somehow survived. The person who found Ellie neglected her very badly. She was once tied to a truck and dragged down the road! She has scar tissue from this incident. Ellie was on her way to be euthanized when my husband decided we would foster her. She was almost bald from malnourishment, so the shelter thought she had a terrible case of mange. Now look at her! She is in wonderful health, and a super dog! She has a thick beautiful coat. She is also very affectionate, and good with our other dogs. Ellie never shows any signs of aggression towards humans since we pulled her from the shelter. The only aggression she demonstrated has been towards our alpha female, Ashley who doesn't back down from a fight.

I would love to find that perfect forever home where I can relax and play and be loved for the rest of my life! I'm a very sweet girl and my foster parents just don't understand why nobody has adopted me yet.

My New Toy

My foster-daddy bought this new thing that can throw a tennis ball even farther than his arm alone! I love to play fetch in our fenced backyard. We play every evening. It's just about my favorite thing to do. Even when I'm tired and we come back inside I will continue to bring my toys to my foster parents and beg them to throw them down the hall. If they ignore me, I put my toys in their laps!
