Arrival Story:
Wilson needed a "pet" home when his breeder discovered that he had hip and elbow dysplasia & could not be a show dog. I was in the right place at the right time! Although I was looking for a smaller, preferably mixed-breed dog, Wilson stole my heart. I knew right away that he was my dog. A week after his elbows were surgically repaired at the veterinary hospital where I work, the breeder gave him to me.

Bio:
Wilson has passed the AKC's Canine Good Citizen test, and is a registered Therapy Dog (Therapy Dogs, Inc.). He visits patients on a pediatric psychiatry ward once a week, and is quite popular with the children and the staff. He considers himself the official greeter & goodwill ambassador at Paws for Praise. After a nasty couple of months, Wilson has been a cancer SURVIVOR for about a year. To celebrate our happy ending, we recently participated in the Paws 4 a Cure Canine Cancer Walk...where Team Wilson raised $750 to fund cancer treatments for dogs! :) You can also find Wilson on MySpace.com: http://profile.myspace.com/index.c fm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&fri endid=86059347
