Arrival Story:
Mini-Me was rescued by one of my students when he was just 2 days old. She bottle-fed him and his sister until they were old enough to eat by themselves. Unfortunately, once they were, they were also acting like Lab puppies - romping and playing, and making noise! And, her apartment had a firm no pets policy. So, she asked if we could take him in until he finds a permanent home. We said yes, and he moved to our house.

Bio:
Mini-me is a GREAT little puppy. He's energetic, but for a lab, he's not nearly as energetic as I expected. He loves attention and to play, but he can also amuse himself for a while (without destroying everything!). He gets along wonderfully with our three dogs (all big dogs), our cat, and our 11-month-old son. He's *mostly* potty trained. He'll give you a warning that he really needs to go, but if you don't respond fairly quickly, he sometimes goes on the linoleum and/or the puppy pads. It seems like he forgets he might need to go out until he REALLY needs to go out, then there's not enough time for him to hold it if you don't respond quickly. Then again, he's only about 15 weeks old, so he's doing pretty well. ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- - Mini-me loves to play fetch, but his favorite game is the "claw" (aka the big belly rub). He'll lie down and roll over and just let you rub his belly for hours. He's learning some basic commands - he's very good at sit, and ok at lay down and gimme paw.
