Arrival Story: We've always LOVED dogs. Every time we saw one, we'd point out how cute it was & discuss if that dog would be a good match for us.
After purchasing our 1st home together, which conveniently has a backyard (albeit a small one), we decided to adopt a dog. I did LOTS of research on different breeds & decided which breeds would be a good fit for our lifestyle. Then we began repeatedly visiting San Francisco SPCA as well as Rocket Dog Rescue & various online dog adoption sites. We were drawn to the SFSPCA and began narrowing down our choices.
Initially I thought I wanted an older dog, but the younger dogs (4-6 mos.) seemed more receptive to us. We saw Honeypie & that was it. She was so cute & playful in the kennel where we had our first official meeting. After a brief walk around the block, we were sold. It scared the hell out of me at first, but after spending some quality time with her, I KNEW we made the right decision, not only about being dog owners, but also picking the perfect little girl.
Immediately, we signed up for the SPCA dog training classes & she has turned into the BEST DOG EVER! She has truely enriched our lives beyond belief and we'll never be without a dog. We don't know what we would do without her. :) Actually, we want a 2nd dog and Honeypie LOVES having canine companions, but we're not ready just yet. When that time comes, the 3 of us will go to the SPCA together & adopt another 4-6 month old. :)

Hummmmmmmm, Grrrrrrrr. This 1 lonely bone is not going to last too much longer pups. I'm having a hard time making this 1 measly Dogster bone last. Must ask mom for more milky bones to fill the dogster bone void. Actually, on 2nd thought, I'm smarter than that: I'll ask dad because I've perfected the exact puppy eyes doggie look that makes him think I'm starving. Plllleeaaaaassseeee Dad - fork over some milky bones b/c I really am starving on Dogster for bones!!!
