Rainbow Bridge Day - 2009

Hi Mazie-moo!

It's the mommy writing a letter to let you know how much you are missed. The house just isn't the same without you around little girl...it is so quiet! But don't worry, mommy has lots of pictures laying around with your pretty brown eyes staring back at me. You are the prettiest dog I have ever owned and I really miss kissing that head of yours!!

I know you must be having fun up there at the Bridge. I dream about you playing around a big pond with lots of doggie and kitty fureinds. Do you get to have alot of fun? You were never a shy pup, so I bet you have lots of angel friends. Just remember to play nice with the other pups...:D!

Don't worry about me - I may have a sad day every now and then, but I look at some of your funny pictures and get a big smile!

Red is my favorite color all year round because it looks good against my fur.

I would rather be a bunny...sometimes I ran, I would hop like a bunny and it made my mommy laugh.


How many Easter eggs do you think you'll find when you get to hunt them at your house?

I will find all of them because I have a very good sniffer!


What kind of Easter basket are you hoping for?

I am hoping for a basket full of balls and stuffed toys so I can de-stuff them! I would also like some delicious treats too!

I haven't been writing much in my diary lately, but I am going to try and do better in 2009. You wouldn't believe all the things that I have been involved in up here at the Bridge. I may have my wings, but I still like to have some fun!

Football Tag!!!

Hut one..hut two...I got the pigskin handed off to me by my good pals Bear & Bambi and Tanner. Here are the rules: I'm gett'n my "team" together and I'm gonna cross that line and make a touchdown! Before the ref raises his boney little arms to signal the 6 points I gotta spill the beans (pffht..excuse me!) about myself and then pass the ball to 5 of my furiends who will each do the same. Don't forget to leave me a bone to let us know you got our hand signals and you're in the "game".

Are you ready...I'm going out for a long pass.........

1) I loved to beat up on my Chihuahua cousin! (Sorry B&B) It was really playing, but with our size difference - I always won!!

2) I loved, loved, loved playing ball - inside or out. Mommy would bounce it to me and I would always catch it!

3) I was a chubster...daddy couldn't resist my face!

4) I was a very nosey pup (hence my nickname Gladys Kravitz). I love to see what was going on in the neighborhood by looking out the front door.

5) I loved to go on car rides with daddy...especially when he traveled to grandma's house in Southern Ohio. I would see his duffel bag and knew he was leaving...then I would stick to him like glue so he wouldn't forget me!

Okay, who is gonna run it in for a touchdown...hmm...how about:

Can it be that you have been gone 4 weeks already? We still look for you at the door when we get home from work...We still listen for your barking when we load the dishwasher...

You were with us for such a short time...but made such an imprint on our hearts.

Long time, no entry

I haven't written anything in a while, but I have been so busy.

It has been 3 weeks since I crossed to the Bridge - and I have been making lots of new friends up here...Beezer, Cisco, Skylar, just to name a few. I have been learning how to use my wings..you know -the usual cross-country flying and loop -d-loops. I am keeping a close watch over mommy and daddy too...as well as my cousins and pup pals.

So tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am thankful that I have such a loving family (although I am going to miss daddy sneaking me some Turkey!)...for I know that I am still in there daily thoughts.

I am also so very thankful for all of the dogster families I have became aquainted with over the past 6 months. You guys are great!

I can not start to tell all of you what a joy the Dogster family has been to my mommy! She wishes she could crawl into cyberspace and hug each one of you!

All of the messages and rosies she has recieved have been a real source of comfort at this time. She needs to get daddy on here to feel all of the love from each and every one of you.

Gone too soon - but forever loved...

It is with a very heavy heart and teary eyes that I must write that Mazie was taken to Rainbow Bridge last night. She was gone instantly.


Mazie, I already miss your chocolate brown eyes and pointy ears - they were both so expressive...you showed all her emotions with your ears. I will especially miss kissing that pretty head of yours!

Just one look at your face could bring a smile to my heart on my saddest day.

You were my first Corgi and now I am in love with the breed.

You were so young - not yet 3 - so you will always be a puppy in my heart.

I'm having too much fun...

I know it seems like I haven't had much to say lately, but it's just not true. You see, there is another pupster in my house now...Daddy's mom has a little Chihuahau named Poncho and they have both come to live with us for a while.

I love bullying him around! I like to make him play with me even when he is not in the mood for it...and I really love using my weight to pin him in a corner or against the couch..hehehe! And I really, really love playing keep-away with my rawhide bones.

The only bad thing is that he wants all of my daddy's attention...I don't like that very much, so I end up barking at him when he is sitting in daddy's lap. I mean, c'mon - it's my daddy!!

I need to talk to mommy about getting him a page here on Dogster. She's got a new camera - break the dang thing out and get some pictures of him and me. Maybe this weekend - it is supposed to be cold here (and possibly snow) so I could have lots of time to spend on the computer.
