Lick, lick, lick!

That's what I do all day long. Gosh, it's exhausting furs! Ever since I lost my nails I gots to tend to the paw round the clock. Make sure I lick it enough to make it grow. I'm telling ya! All I want for Christmas are my 2 front nails!!

Broken Paw Nails

Boy, has it been a while since I have last updated my diary! My mommy has been neglecting her secretary duties once again. Oh mofur.
I have been experiencing some misfortunes lately. I broke two paw-nails last weekend! I think some dim-wit stepped on me! I know it wasn't anyone in my family, but I think it was one of the "guests" that was over on Saturday. I TOLD mommy something didn't smell right about those "guests"!!
Since losing my nails, my paw gets soaked daily in some yucky yellow solution. Mommy says it's to prevent an infurction. Sounds scary enough...but it doesn't mean I like it! I hope my nails grow back soon, my paw hurts like this. Lately I've just been sleeping a lot, a girl needs her beauty rest after all!

Summer is near, Coco is here!

Mmmm...summer is so near. I can sniff it...it's in the air.
I have been away for so long! But, I am back. Mommy is off for the summer so she is back as the secretary of this diary! Mommies are the best, aren't they?
This past weekend me and the gang took a ride out to Allerton Park, aka Heaven on Earth. The day was so sunny and warm. We went near dusk but that's ok by me. Daddy grilled some hot dogs and there were also chips n dip for all, including me! Nevermind that I had to wait for them to fall on the ground. We played ball with Gabie, ate, and took a little walk.
I'm looking forward to more of that this summer!

Rest & Recovery

I had so much fun yesterday that I have spent most of today resting and recovering from all the fun.
When Daddy got home from work yesterday, the family and I had dinner. They had spaghetti and Iwas hoping I"d get some, but no such luck! I didn't care though cuz I knew I had cake coming.
Mommy made the cake. Oooh, those smells were delightful. Even the human bro Gabie kept asking Mommy if he could have some of my cake! It was a peanut butter & carrot cake. She used ingredients that were good for both furs and humans. After mommy iced it with peanut butter, she brought it out to me and everyone sang Happy Barkday to me. I could not wait to get my paws on it! The humans had their own carrot cake but everyone had a slice of mine too. They loved it! I loved it more though!
Mommy also got me some special gourmet treats for my birthday. Not only that, but I also got a new rope toy! Gabie played with me right away!
Today mommy left my gourmet treats on the table. When everyone left for school/work, I hopped onto the table and ate them all! Yes!! I have finally succeeded in jumping onto surfaces. I have been researching the ways of the cats for a long time now...

Happy 2nd Barkday to Me!

Today I am 2! Yay! I feel sooo grown up.
I have been having a very special day. Mommy and the family sang me happy barkday in the morning. I am wearing my special dress today and having a lot of fun. Mommy gave me a present. I got a stuffed hippo. He's yellow and very chewable. I can't wait to rip him open to show him just how much I love him!!! Because I do!!!
I sniffed a bag mommy brought in today. I could tell it was from a pet store because it smelled like other furs. I tried to sniff it out but mommy grabbed it and said it was a special surprise for later. I will let you all know what was in the bag later. I'll make it my mission to find out when mommy's not looking!

It's that time of the year again!

My barkday is coming up next Sunday! I'm furry excited bout that. We've been having lots and lots of birthdays in my house lately. Last year mommy made me a cake on my barkday. It was my first one and a very special day. This year I'll be 2!
Wow, I'm getting old!

Today is my mommy's barkday!

It's my mommy's barkday.
I'm being a good girl today just for her. I did Chase button around a bit but mommy wasn't looking.
Daddy made mommy an apple pancake for her special barkfest. I got to have a bite when mommy wasn't looking.
Mommy said "Coco, it's going to be your barkday real soon."
I can't believe it. Time flies when you're having fun.
Mommy said she's 20 today. But I know she's not. It's our little secret.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my friends!

I know this is a little late, but Merry Christmas to all my friends. I hope all my friends got everything they wanted for Christmas but most importantly I hope they were with the people they love the most. I hope the New Year brings you all joy, good health, love and happiness with family and friends.
My Christmas was great and I am just so thankful that I got to spend it with my family. Sometimes we take family for granted because they're always there but as this year has shown my family, life and family are a true blessing. We are getting ready for the New Year and I cannot wait to go see Grandma in the Windy City. I wonder if it's snowing there like it is here! It has been beautiful watching the seasons change right before my puppy eyes. May you all be happy with the people you love.

I WAS DOGNAPPED BUT AM BACK HOME

Sadly, I was dognapped earlier this week. It had to be one of the saddest days in my mommy's life. I was taken from my mommy's car when I was left in the car for a very, very short time. It was in the 60's that evening and mommy left the windows cracked open, but she didn't realize they were open a bit TOO much.When my family came back to the car I was gone!
Mommy was in despair and immediately began searching for me. Daddy called the cops and filed a report. People in the area were questioned to see if anybody saw anything. Someone did! They saw a young woman with a lab dog holding me!
All night long mommy cried and searched for me. I was nowhere in sight. It didn't help that I got stolen in an unfamiliar town, we were all on vacation out of state. The next day mommy and daddy were still searching for me but to no avail. Mommy and daddy got to a computer and made flyers. They offered a reward for my safe return. Later that day, mommy and daddy got a call from someone who claimed they had me. She said she found me somewhere (very far from the car) which seemed suspicious esp. since someone witnessed a young girl holding me by the car. Mommy and daddy picked me up from her house where they saw a lab dog. They were just so glad to see me again that they didn't question the woman.
Later that night, someone called saying they knew the woman who took the dog. They said they were there when it happened and saw her break into our car and steal me. They said I was frightened to death and hiding under the car seat barking. That person felt bad and thought it was wrong. They told us the thief's name and it turned out the thief had given us a fake name. Daddy called the police and she is currently being questioned. My pawrents are filing charges against her.
It feels sooo good to be back! What a horrific nightmare we all went through. We really thought we'd never be together again.
Dognapping is apparently more common than my mommy ever thought it was. Needless to say, mommy will never leave me unattended in a car, not even for a second!

Do treats from the litter box count? BOL just kidding OOOOH. There's many but I especially lub it when mommy gives me turkey bacon. I also lub cookies, dog cookies, the ones they sell at Petco.

5. Do you get Table Scraps? Sometimes. Mommy tries really hard not to (mean mommy!) but my puppy eyes work magic.

6. What is your favorite toy? Anything made out of rope. I usually destroy the hecky out of anything stuffed but rope toys are the funnest for me.
