Arrival Story:
My husband refused to let me go with him to pick out our new puppy. We had not been able to agree upon what breed of dog we wanted to get but we had both been intersted in wolf hybrids. He had found a litter of Timberwolf huskys in the paper and went to check them out. Our little Reina ran right up to him as soon as he got out of his car. She was the only one that had two brown eyes. The other puppies in the litter had either two blue eyes or one blue and one brown. He brought her home that day. I met them at the pet store near us and already had a basket full of pink things by the time they got their.

I'm growing!

I am now 19 months and I finally passed 40 pounds!!!! I know its not polite for a lady to share her weight but mommy was so excited that I just had to tell everyone! The last time I went to the vet I weighed 40.4 pounds!!!! I weighed 35 pounds for 6 months straight. Nothing mommy and daddy did would help me put on any weight but I'm growing now! I am still such a good girl and mommy and daddy love me with all of their hearts but I'm having a little trouble when I meet a dog for the first time. You see, some of the other dogs in mommy's family aren't as well behaved as I am and they have attacked me a lot. They are really little and I could have hurt them back if I wanted to but I love them too much to do that. But now I'm scared when I meet new dogs and if they sniff me in the face when we first meet, sometimes I snap at them. And its any dog; boy, girl, spayed, unspayed, neutered, un neutered, big or little. Sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. Does anyone know a way mommy or daddy could help me not be so scared. They try to have me meet every new dog noes to rear end instead of noes to noes and that usually helps. But sometimes the other dog's mom or dad isn't very co-operative. My mommy would appreciate ANY tips. And I would too, I really love playing with other dogs but I'm just scared to meet new ones.

Champ

I'm sure most of you already know by now, but my brother Champ crossed the Bridge on September 6th 2008. We all miss him very much but mommy misses him the most. Every day it gets easier for her, but she still cries sometimes. On top of missing Champ, she also is not working now. She goes to school in the morning and she's home with me while daddy is at work. But she has tried to turn her attention to me. I'm 8 months now and I still jump up more than mommy and daddy want me too. Plus until yesterday, I didn't know how to stay and let mommy or daddy walk away from me. I just had to go with them. So yesterday mommy taught me how to stay while she walked backward. And I did it with a ball as my reward. She'd say "Stay" as she stepped back and at first she'd only take one step then throw me the ball. But I got pretty good at it and she could walk into the other room before she threw me the ball. She was so proud of me. So now mommy has more time to be with me. I LOVE IT!!!! I try to make her smile as many times as I can every day.

Lazy Saturday

Today is a very lazy day. It is way too hot to play outside for too long. So I've decided to sleep with daddy on the nice cool bed with a fan blowing on me the whole time. I'm starting to get sad because my mommy and daddy are going to Nicaragua for a whole week and I have to stay at grandma's. I'm excited though because I can be with my brother Champ for a long time and grandma loves me. But I'm going to miss my mommy and daddy. If anyone wants to set up playdates for that week, they are going to be gone June 25th -July 2nd. Let my mommy know soon so she can let Grandma know a scheduel. Thanks!
