Hi everyone! Howwwwl is it going?
I just celebrated my seventh birthday last week and am I tired. My people arranged for me to have a couple of Basset buddies come over for a visit and I took them out on my Dads boat. They were a bit nervous at first but when they saw me standing at the front of the boat with my nose in the air they were quick to join me. It was a lot of fun howling at the other boats and the folks on the pier when we returned. The fresh air on the lake really tired all of us out and we slept together (Basset pajama party) when we got home again.
I received lots of treats and belly rubs from my many friends.

Well, after such a long time away it's a pleasure to be back with all of you again. I have been spending the last two weeks with my girlfriend Heidi (you can see her in my photo album) the Golden Retreiver. She has been my friend ever since my Momma and Poppa brought me home five years ago.
They decided that they needed a week or two away from the snow and drove down south for a little golf and warmer weather. Heidi's mom and dad are really nice humans and treat me like the king that I am so I have no problem staying with them although I really do miss my folks. I was so excited when they came to pick me up that I threw up all over the carpet in the living room. I thought that I was in trouble but they just cleaned up the mess and told me that everything was all right. Is that great or what?
Anyway, Im home now and am enjoying long walks with my Poppa and climbing over the snowbanks that have suddenly reapeared. I love sniffing through the snow and finding sticks buried under it. I carry the sticks that I find back to the house and leave them in the driveway for firewood. I love to lay in front of the woodstove in the downstairs den and warm my belly. Dad says that I conyribute daily to the wood supply and deserve tha rewards that the warm fire brings. Life is good!
I was pleased to find that there are more Bassetts out there who want to be my Pal. It made me very happy to see there photo's in Dads e-mail.
It''s time for my pre bedtime pee pee so I have to go and "drain the Winkie" before going up to bed with Dad. Good night all!
