Today is my GOTCHA DAY and this is my story of finding my- furever family!

It was 10 years ago today that I found my loving furever home. It was just another day in the dog pound. There where doggies in cages all around me. I was out walking around in the room. ( The girl who took care of the dogs let me do that, I was special ) she was hosing down and cleaning and in walks my new furmily! I came over and stood on my hind legs reaching my arms up to my New furever Mommy Tami. It was love at first sight. She picked me up and oh that felt so good. What I did not know is that Mommy had come there to especially see me! She and my skin brother Zach had been searching puppy rescues and dog shelters everywhere. They felt in there heart that there was a special doggie out there just for them and they new her description some how. They wanted a dog about one year old, short haired, potty trained , not too large but not tiny. After looking everywhere Mom wrote to the dog shelter I was in and the director wrote back to her saying, " I think I have the dog for you! She asked if she ever heard of a Manchester Terrier before and Mom said no. She said I looked like a min pin with a long tail and was larger." So the next day my family came to see me and adopted me on the spot! When I went into my new house I was so excited you could see a big smile on my face from ear to ear. My family showed me my new bed and I went and got in it and smiled. They gave me toys and I acknowledged each toy with a smile and touched them with my nose. I loved my yard and went way in the back to use the restroom. For a while when my Mommy would have to go someplace I would worry she would not come back but then I learned she always came back. We love each other so much and are thankful to have found each other. We have been through thick and thin together and will always be a perfect match. Thank you God for People who search for Animals that need furever homes. Thank You for the blessing you give them through us too.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Dear Diary,
Wow today is my 11th birthday! I am so happy today even though I went to the vet. I am so thankful for the great life I have. I am glad my family adopted me from the dog shelter 10 years ago. I have a good life! I am loved so much and I give so much love in return. Mom bought a nice toy for my birthday. I helped choose it at the pet store. It is a large gecko that squeeks and makes squishy sounds! Mom got one for my brother too so he would not take mine. We took a nice walk and my steps were light and happy! I am glad God made me. My Mom and family are grateful God made dogs and that we found each other on this road we call life.

I am in my Florida Home away from the cold Ohio winds

I am glad I get to enjoy warmer weather this winter. I am with my Mom and Buster in our winter home. It is so much nicer feeling the suns warmth. I am getting older and sleeping more so it is cuddly. I still like to run and play though with my brother buster and wrestle with Mom some! I am thankful for all the good things our Lord allows us to enjoy. What a beautiful place our Earth can be. It is good to get out and see it and enjoy its goodness.

Dear Diary,
I just had to let you know what all is going on in my life. Last week Mommy noticed I did not feel well so she took me to the vet. He could find nothing wrong with me even though Mommy told him I had recently lost a lot of weight and was vomiting. Mommy was still concerned so the next day she took me to an Emergency Hospital. They did test and found out that I had sudden onset diabetes! My sugar level was so high that their meter could not measure it! I have been on a healthy low cal diet too! Mom was so upset. She was worried about me. Mom , Dad and my skin bro all chipped in and paid for my xrays and treatment which cost $1700.! Plus I have to take two insulin shots everyday for the rest of my life! I am on prescription good food too. I like it and I do not mind the shots either. You should see how much better I feel and act! I am playful and like my good old self again! I am thankful to God for helping us to find the right place to get treatment and helping my family all chip in and pay for my medical expenses. I am a big baby and even more spoiled than ever! You should hear me scwall and carry on if I am not in the same room with Mommy! Just remember if your pet is not acting right keep seeking help till you find it. Also, a good thing to consider while your pet is young and still healthy is pet insurance.

Enjoying my treats from my friend Ciao Li!

Dear Diary,
Did I mention to you that Mom met and had lunch with my friend Ciao Li's Mom? Yes it is true and they hit it off right away. It was fun to see what all they have in common and how much they love us and Dogster / Catster.
Ciao's Mom gave us some delicious treats like jerky, rawhide, cookies and some cute toys that we still fight over. BOL! It was so sweet of our friend and we hope our Moms get together again very soon!

Great things going on in a great group!!!

Dear Diary,
Just wanted to let you know that things are going so well at our group OUR DAILY WALK!!! We have got some really nice pups and kits there so full of love and good friendship! We have lots of fun and care about each other so much!! Its great to have a place to get together with common interests!

So glad to have Mom home again!!

Wow, Mom went on vacation for over a week in Florida. I and my brudder Buster stayed home with our skin Brudder Zach. He took very good care of us and we seemed calm and satisfied when Mom got home. Oh though we have stuck to her like glue and been giving her so many kisses. We think Mommy is taking us with her next time. It was just she had so much business to attend to this last time and she did not want to leave us in the car between hotel stays. Guess what? Mom is getting a Home in Florida at least for part of the year. We gonna love going to the beach with her!! YIPPEE!!!
