Arrival Story:
Max was with Happy Hounds Shelter in Princeton MN where he was named Zeller. He was far away but he reminded me of my beloved dog Conrad. There was something in his eyes that prompted me to call the shelter about him. I was told he was going to need a lot work because he is a very shy dog due to being kenneld and lacked socialization. They were having a difficult time placing him so his adoption fee was reduced. I knew he was the dog for me so I went out to see him. He hoped into the back of my car. He weighed 42 lbs at the vet. He wouldn't respond to Zeller. He was extremly shy, especially towards men. The cat even bullied him. He smelled of kennel so with the help of a professional groomer he got a bath. It was unknown if he would be a house dog.

Bio:
Today Max is well behaved house dog. He listens better than the current two. He doesn't even have to wear an Invisible Fence collar. He still is shy among men, but comes up to woman and kids. The cat don't scare him anymore. He wieghed in today at 57.5 lbs! We named him Max and responded to it the first time we called him it. We believe due to his personality and size he is Chow Chow and Rotweiller. He doesn't care to be outside for long. He prefers to be inside or near me at all times. He loves car rides. He doesn't play fetch but loves to be petted and wags his tail. We love Max!
