I've always wanted to belong to a Boston Terrier. A friend knew that it was a dream of mine, but one that would liekly go unfulfilled, as the cost of purchasing one was a bit out of reach for me. His mom breeds Bostons, and promised to offer me a good price if I ever was in the market. One day I got a phone call from my friend while I was at work, asking if i wanted a Boston for Kissmas. I was saddened to have to reject the offer, as I didn't have money to spend for a puppy if I was going to also provide my kids with Kissmas gifts and a trip to Maryland to see their grandparents. "No, you don't understand. We're offering to GIVE you the puppy". I was overwhelmed. Apparently she'd had a mild case of ringworm and lost some hair off her back, that would grow back in in time, but since she was "imperfect", my friends mom didn't feel comfortable selling her. We drove to Maryland for Kissmas, and from there we spent a day meeting my friend in West Virginia, half-way beteween where he lives in Kentucky and where we were for the holiday. Ruby was an amazing Kissmas present, and we just happened to pick her up on my sons birthday, so he thinks of her as part of his birthday celebration now. All of her hair has grown back ,and she's learned a few tricks and is doing fairly well with housebreaking, though she still does have the occassional accident. We love her so much, she's come to be a regular member of the family now!
