Exploring the yard w/ all the great smells. I snort like a pig when I'm on the trail of a great smell.

Not getting mad at Izzie Bean when she steals my food. What a naughty girl!

Arrival Story:
Hi! My name is Puggy and I was surrendered to MAPR because my family was unable to provide appropriate veterinary care for a recent eye injury. I was a much loved member of my family and my Dad was terribly upset to let me go, but knew that it was best for me. The cause of the injury to my right eye is unknown and I have limited vision in that eye. I am going to an eye specialist for further treatment. I am mostly blind in my left eye due to untreated KCS, or chronic dry eye. I may regain some sight in either or both eyes after treatment, but will need daily eye drops to keep me comfortable and healthy. I am three years old, up to date on all of my vaccinations and preventative medicines, and am heartworm negative. The vet complimented me on being such a good boy at my appointment and standing still for him to examine me. My front legs are a little bow legged so I look like a little cowboy. Howdy pardner! I am not quite crate trained but will learn quickly with positive reinforcement. One of my favorite activities is to explore outside while on a leash and snorting around to check out all the great smells. I get along great with the other dogs that live here and do well with cats. I would LOVE to have a fur sibling to hang out with. I let my foster sis eat out of my bowl so needless to say, I am NOT food aggressive. I am extremely easy going and loving despite the recent changes in my life.
