Shandi's Pawsome Contest - HELP ANIMALS IN NEED

My good pal Shandi is holding a contest, the theme is Express Yourself. For every entry 20 cents is donated to our local non-kill animal shelter. If you could donate to this contest, there could be much more entries! Which means helping more animals!

Amazed At The Ability to Forgive

Rusty's "fun wrecker" here. I am just so surprise at my soulmate's ability to forgive me!! Wow, I didn't deserve his wagging tail and big goofy smile yesterday afternoon.
We were just going out on our daily walk to the beach. I was tired, which means I was incredibly grumpy as well. We only got around the cirner, and Rusty was misbehaving terribly!! He was pulling, jumping, then when he caught sight of little Alfie, he broke loose off the leash. I had to run after him, and grab him. I was scaring everyone around me by yelling at Rusty when I finally caught him, and he pretended I wasn't even there. I was fuming, so I stormed straight home with him. I opened the gate and yelled at him to get in, and he ran in. I sat out the front for some "alone time", to think about what I had just done. After about one minute, I realised what a terrible monster I had turned into. I cried, because I had failed to give my bundle of joy the love that he deserves the past 10 minutes.
I went to the side gate to apologise to my baby boy, expecting him to be scared that all hell would brake loose again. But instead, I saw his appy wagging tail, and big goofy smile right at the gate. He was waiting for me! As soon as he saw me, his body shook so hard he almost fell over. I ran into the back yard and gave him a big bear hug, and apologised. Then we got back to what we do...lets play ball!!

The Day I came Home

Yay! I am finally writing a diary entry....I haven't really got to it lately.
Well, I still remeber the day I came home as if it was yesterday. Mum came to see me, and it was love at first sight. She had a chat with my breeder, who gave mum my papers, etc. I quite liked mum, but I had only just woken up...so mum hadn't yet seen the real me. When she took me home, I sat in the car on her lap.
When we were almost home, I vomited. It was the first time I had went in a car without being in a crate. Well, we got home and I hid. Under the car. Mum got worried about me, and kept trying to get me out. Eventually I did come out. In the next half our, news got out that mum had a pup. Unexpectidly, all the ids on the street were at the front door, waiting for a pat of the Rusty coloured ball of fur...which was me. So, mum just had to let them all in...she couldn't resist. It didn't help me though, as I just got a bit more scared. I retreated behind one of the kids, then went to sleep as ther gentle hands continued to run along my body.
