Arrival Story:
My ex husband and I lost a baby. We worked a paper route with two of the biggest most gentle dogs we'd ever seen. I left a note in they're paper that I would love to know the breed because they were amazing dogs. The next day we got our answer, looked in the newpaper, Called the number to a Pup. Turns out it was the SAME PEOPLE! She became our paper route dog and now is the proud mama of TWO HUGE males!

Bio:
She is now an indoor only dog AS on 05/09/2008 Shy had a seizure and again the next day. So, she can't be around her kids. This is because her scent has changed and they realize she is weak so they fight for her alpha position.

I did get bacon last night! IT was a GREAT night. I'm home all alone now. My human mom had to go to work today for a meeting they have every tuesday. I hope she comes home soon life is so boring in this house with out her. I can't even use the mouse to see my friends on the computer. I guess I'll go lay back on the vent now.

As anyone who knows me knows I have a Dog, Princess aka Mama Dog, that I consider one of my children. I've had her since 2003 and she's an amazing animal. She's saved a life here and there, LOVES the kids, Obeys (when she feels like it), and is just a great companion.

Well I'm bored so I'm going to tell you about Mama Dogs weekend. So Thursday we hear some weird stuff happening outside. We run to the door to spank a dog (usually the water head Dallas) and the other two dogs (her sons thus why she's now called mama dog) are sitting around her and she is convulsing on the ground. When it's over, she stands up and has no idea who we are. We get her inside and she starts to hyperventilate, I'm assuming because she didn't know where she was. She got really shaking and scared.

We call the vet, who's in surgery, so we get no answers. We call ANOTHER vet and they say "Springdale" I was like GRR! That's over an hour away with a freaked out dog. So, we keep her in, I sleep on the couch to watch her and called the vet in the morning.

We get to the vets office, some stupid guy ignores me telling him to not touch my dog, stresses her out, seizure on the floor. What fun! She's again confused and lost now in a place she only goes once a year. They get her in the back room to run tests. At 4:30 I go to the vet to pick her up, They call me in......

They explain her blood work is quite remarkable for what she's been through. Scans show no pressure on her brain. They gave her an injection of Diazepam to keep her calm and they have determined she's epileptic.

They further went on to say that because she's not the only family member with these problems we need to get our soil tested because it could be environmental. Oh goodie!

So, I now have a very high, 100lb house dog. She cant be around the others as they sense her weakness and attack her. She takes 75mg of Phenobarbital twice daily. This makes her EXTREMELY shaky and she lays around a lot.

Debating on making my home a one dog home. But don't know who would take the other two, they really need a home together.

As I sit here and watch her sleep, wake up get love, find a new position, sleep, and sometimes go outside to potty....my heart breaks. She's been far too good of an animal to deserve issues like this. Maybe moving will help.

Thanks for Reading
