Rocking in the rocking chair, play dead, shake(tell her left or right), I could just go on because I've taught her so much.

Arrival Story:
Callie was given to me from my neighbors son. He had a litter of pups in the back of his truck. She was the only one hanging in the corner by herself;she was scared. They were only 6 weeks old. He told me to pick one and I chose her. On a sad note; it was also my birthday and I had just found my older lab/coyote mix(Sha) dead in the front yard. Seeing her scared face just broke my heart. She is the first Austrlian cattle dog(Blue heeler) that I have ever owned. I have just fell in love with the breed. They are one of the most intelligent dogs I have ever owned. Sometimes I think she understands english a little too much. You can't even spell things around her. I know that they were meant to be working dogs with cows and such but Callie lives on the bayou with me. And she is very protective over us. The good thing is when I say Luv Luv she leaves whatever it is alone. With her being up in age it scares me. She just got diagnosed with heartworms 9beginning stage); even though I had her on med. for that. She just got her first treatment yesterday. She seem okay but I'm still scared. I have to say that she is a fighter though. A while back we had went shrimping in our boat; at the time we also had a yellow lab--T_Boy). We came in at about 3 a.m. to find Callie on the porch shot and T-Boy gone. I totally freaked out. She let me look at her wounds and I brought her to the emergency vet. The entrance wound was under her neck; to be there she had to be jumping at someone, because she is short; the exit was on her right side. She got lucky because it missed everything. I was so upset that she was shot but that someone stole my 12 yrs old sons lab;T-Boy. Still till this day if I ever find out who did this cruel thing; I will lose my mind on them. Nothing else in the yard was touched.

Callie went in for her first treatment. I am so scared. She has come home and all she does is ace back and fourth; which is not like her.
