Birthday: December 10th 2006 Arrival Story: Pearl needs her forever home! She was on death row at a local shelter when I heard about her plight. I fell in love with her and I rescued her. I work with the Orange County, CA based dog rescue group, Critters in Need Pet Rescue. If you're interested in meeting Pearl, please call 714.348.1996.
http://crittersrescueonline.org/ Bio: Pearl is an one-year-old Lab/ Black Mouth Cur mix (think of Old Yeller in the movie) that was on death row. She is such a pretty girl and so full of life. Adorable. She's young and curious, but loves to give kisses. Pearl needs stability in her life and training. But then so do all young dogs! She is affectionate and really responds when you speak gently to her. But of course, that needs to be balanced with consistent training. Pearl is an active dog and would be suited for the family on the go. She'll also make a terrific jogging partner. We think she's good with some dogs. Pearl will be a great member of your family!
UPDATE FROM PEARL HERSELF: A shelter volunteer put out the word that I was a Black Mouth Cur--and that my time was up. My foster mom was a novice dog rescuer when she pulled me. Now that she has me and I've filled out, she thinks I'm a lab/pit mix. I'm an under-socialized dog with a pitty temperament. Not much of a lab temperament, unfortunately! But she sure does love me! - Pearl I've Been On Dogster Since:
