Arrival Story:
Sandy is a rescued schnauzer from Baton Rouge. Her breeder dumped her off at the pound and drove away in his Hummer because he didn't want to pay to fix her leg. The pound phoned "the crazy schnauzer lady" (as she referred to herself) in Walker LA and Sandy was saved. Her rescuer suspects she got her leg stuck and twisted it in her crate, since it was a clean break and there was none of the trauma you'd expect if she had been abused or hit by a car.

Bio:
got out the yard and was killed by a hit-and-run driver 12/30/11

My new human picked me up at my foster home on Saturday in Walker LA and drove me to New Orleans in the pouring rain. She didn't realize I could bark until Monday when I gave those neighbor bassets what for! I also barked at my new daddy when he took too long to come inside.
