Bio:
These 2 wonderful Doberman Friends are now at the Rainbow Bridge. They are greatly missed. SHEENA (7/6/95 - 10/7/05) Died from bone cancer at the age of 10. It was totally unexpected, as the vet told us it was arthritis in one leg, so we were taking her for weekly shots to help heal it.... after a month of these shots and being no better, the vet decided to do an x-ray. They found she had bone cancer and that we should bring her home for "her last weekend", I was devistated! We brought her home, and ended up having to bring her back that same evening, as she went downhill within an hour of bringing her home! I had thought I would still have her for atleast a few more years. BRANDY (1/11/89 - 12/30/99) Died from a burst tumor on her spleen at the age of 10 (also unexpected). She suffered from Bloat at the age of 8, but I caught it in time and brought her to the vets before she had a complete gastric twist. After that episode, I started giving her "Di-Gel" during every feeding, which really helped. We had done everything before hand to prevent bloat "feeding on a raised feeder, not giving too much water after a meal, not letting them play after a meal, etc" Then after Christmas, I was home from work cleaning up the house and she started acting funny - at that point, I knew something was really wrong and this was the end. After the vet did an ultrasound, they had found a tumor on her splean that had gone undetected, had already burst. Therefore, we had to put her down. These two dogs were the most sweetest dogs I've ever owned and we miss them terribly!
