Arrival Story:
When we got to our current base, we decided to get a new Pomeranian puppy (Midget, passed away Aug 04 @ 11 years old). Corky was alone in a kennel, the runt of her litter and the last one left. My husband couldn't stand to leave her there, so she came home with us.
Bio:
I've been what some people may call a "submissive" dog. Although I love my family and am well taken care of, I tend to crawl on my belly when called to come and I sometime piddle a little bit when I get picked up. Otherwise, I love to lay around the house or sleep with mommy in her bed. I also have a funny habit when I eat of taking 5-6 pieces of food from my bowl, then running into the living room to eat it. Daddy says that he's heard that a lot of Chihuahua's do this...I don't know, I don't have any Chihuahua friends... :(
Corky took her trip over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. She's resting now, able to breathe and able to play with her best friend, Bogey.

Well, it's about time everyone finally lets me on the computer! Mom's been hogging the computer keeping us dogs away from Dogster and, of course, I'm the last one to get to use the computer.
Well, if you've read everyone else's diary you know that Deni is the new addition. She's a sweet girl and I've really taken to her. She's like the baby I've never had! I kiss her, protect her, and play with her and just love to have her around. I've gotten even more energy that I had even when Ally joined the family. I chase the girls around sometimes, but mostly mediate their rough playtime.
The girls went to California with Mom and Dad and Bogey was a little upset because he had to stay home with me. I didn't care since I hate to ride in the car and tend to shake all the time anyway.
Oh! So much for the Monster Chihuahua thing that Mom has been calling me. I had my annual shots last week (too) and weighed 10.9#. HAHAHA!! So there, Mom!!
Well, that's all I got tonight. Wouldn't you know, after months of being off Dogster and this is all I have to say. Whatev'! Bye!

OK, so Mom is now calling me the monster chihuahua because I weigh 12 pounds...So I'm a big girl, I'm not fat...just chunky. So anyway, she's put me on a diet by cutting out the treats (mostly) and cutting my food intake by almost half. And she wonders why I'll cheat and eat Ally's food sometimes! Actually, Mom has said something about having me checked for something called Cushing's because I have so much extra saggy skin on my belly. Hmmm...maybe I do have something to blame the weight gain on after all!! ;)

Man...this has been a long day! Mom and Dad made me got on a long drive to Albuquerque with the family. I don't really care for riding in the car and the three hour trip up was not fun, but I stayed in the back like I was supposed to...I just let mom know I wasn't happy (Dad was asleep most of the ride). We went to a dog park and walked the trail...that was fun! New place, new smells, etc. When we went into the actual dog park, there was this JRT that kept trying to mount on me and I let him know that I was NOT happy with that! They also took us to Three Dog Bakery to get our picture with the Grinch...whoever that is...and got us some treats. Then we went to PetSmart and got our picture with Santa Paws. I haven't done that much walking in a long time! We slept in the car while the parental units were eating, then stopped to buy some canned food. I slept almost all the way back home, except for a potty break, and mom and dad had to do some quick running around in town so we just waited in the car. Everyone (dog wise) is asleep now, so I think I'm going to go join them. Bye!
