Arrival Story:
Many years ago, my brother called me up one day to tell me that his friend's girlfriend's family had some 3-mo old greyhound puppies. He convinced them to let him have a puppy. He asked me if our mom would let us keep her, and i said, "Go for it!" Our mom was not happy at first, but eventually she became attached, and the rest is history. Looking back, yes, it was not the right way of adding a pet to the family, but I can't say I regret it! Unlike most pet greyhounds, she never raced. At the time, we had a pound-rescued Whippet named Pokey, so naturally, we had to name our new dog Gumby! Unfortunately, we lost Pokey about 2 years ago at the ripe old age of about 14-15. *update* Sadly, Gumby is no longer with us. She developed pain in her back that could not be treated. She was relieved of her suffering on november 9, 2008. She will be sorely missed.

Bio:
All I know about Gumby's background was that her mother was a big black female, and one or both of her parents were racers. Since she has no tats, it is harder for me to determine her pedigree and siblings. She was the runt of the litter, and I know she had at least one brindle brother. As for her other siblings, she also had at least one black, one blue, and one fawn (or red)/white . It would really be neat if I could find any of her siblings.
