Arrival Story:
Ben was bred by my friend. He was sold to a lady who was certain she could manage him. She went back to my friend and told her that Ben was just too unmanagable. Jax asked me to take him. He was not unmanagable at all, she just hadn't socialised him or done any form of basic training. It had made Ben a very nervous dog. He came into my home as a scared and weak 7 month old baby. He now weighs around 120/125 pounds, and is a big, bouncy, happy, loving 19 month old.

Bio:
Ben is a red sable. I always wanted a sable dog. I was happy to help my friend out when she asked if I would take him. I already had four dogs, so one more wasn't going to make a difference. Ben has made such good progress. I had to be so careful with him when we first got him. The slightest thing would make him cringe and cower. He was even wetting himself. But by being firm, but fair, and being consistant with what I asked of him, he has developed into the dog he should have been. He now meets strangers without being terrified. He still looks to me for reassurance sometimes, but he is now enjoying life. I cant imagine my life without him. He is very much a Mummys boy. He doesn't like me going out without him. But as long as Dad is there to keep him company, or someone he knows well, he can cope. We never leave the dogs alone in the house as both Ben and Inka suffer from seperation anxiety. I see no reason to cause them the sort of mental anguish they go through if I do leave them. We will deal with the seperation anxiety in time, but I am happy with the progress that Ben has made. On Thursday the 17th November, 2005, our beloved girl, Tippi, left us to go to the rainbow bridge. She died at home in the arms of her mistress and friend.
Tippi is missed greatly. Her passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all that knew her.

My eight puppies are all doing really well now. They will soon be ready to be prepared for sale. I have four little girls and four little boys. Mum says that one of the little girls was sold before she was even born!! I wonder how they did that!!

Mum is so proud of me. She says I am a wonderful Dad. I like seeing my puppies and I like to play with them. I hope they come down soon so I can play. I can teach them all sorts of things.

I'm going to be a daddy again!!
