Arrival Story:
We fostered Muffit in 2005 for a couple of months for a local rescue. He had had two homes before he came to us. His name was first Leopard, and then Wheatie. We loved him when he stayed with us and really did want to keep him, but thought he would be better off in another home since we already had four dogs. There he was named Shiloh. Well January of 2008 we got a call from the rescue... Muffit had been dumped at the humane society after being in his home for about two years. :( The rescue has strict rules about having the dog returned, and the family didn't even call to get him back to the rescue! We were furious! Muffit came back to us then... after being at the Humane Society for a couple of weeks because they didn't even scan him for his chip. :( He was very sick, stressed induced colitis, poop crimson with blood. His nose was so runny and snotty, we'd never seen a dog so sick. And he was underweight. My husband then decided that Muffit was going to stay with us. Through no fault of his own, Muffit has found his fourth and final home. He's sweet as can be, loves to snuggle and cuddle, and I hope to train him up for flyball!
