He loved his butt scratched and behind his ears, he made this noise, like a terrible moan whenever he was happy. (the first few weeks we had him we wondered what the heck was wrong with him. But its deffinetly what I'll remember him for!)
Being waken up and being groomed
His rope, the one and only toy he would play with. He would sit and chew it for hours
Anything you where willing to feed him, he was incredibly gentle when you would give him food.
Amywhere there where people, kids, and cows. He loved cows especially in the spring when the calves (who where about his size!) would all come and say hi!
Listening, I have never seen a dog so well behaved, he did whatever you asked as soon as you asked it. You rarely even had to give him a command, he usually anticipated it befor you said it
We rescued Beau, the family who owned him while well meaning knew nothing about how to care for him. He was 6 months old and tall enough that he came up inches past my knees, yet was so thin he could fit between the spindles on our staircase. He also turned out to be epileptic ( the real reason I think they surrendered him) We got him on medication and changed his diet and he turned out to be the smartest, friendliest dog you could ever hope to meet!
Beau loved to taddle. Whenever Sadie was doing something wrong he would bark in his whimpy collie bark he only made when he was taddling. He wouldnt stop until someone came to stop her or tell him it was okay. He would do the same thing if kids got playing rough.
He was also I giant ham, the second you brought the camera out he would prance around and sit and pose, it was impossible to take pictures on any holiday or occasion with out Beau being front and center, he was a super model at heart!
He was always a perfect gentleman. When going up and down the stairs or outside he would always wait for his people go first. He was very aware of his size and seemed to take extra care to be gentle. He was extremely devoted, I used to joke I could walk through time square on new years eve and with out a leash or a command he would stay glued to my side.
Beau passed away at homes in my arms at almost 13 years old after a lengthly battle with epilepsy, was the sweetest 85lb lap dog ever. Miss you buddy.
Nahh ahh! I am too a lap dog
