Arrival Story:
I saw Mackinze's face on the internet. She was at a rescue in Ohio along with her littermates. We put in an application, were accepted and headed to Ohio. Bob's brother had just lost one of their Shi Tsus and the other was sickly. We also brought two males Shi Tsus back for them. Mackinze was the best little girl, but those boys kept us awake the whole night!

Bio:
I don't know what experiences Kinze had before being rescued, but several times we found her hiding under or behind furniture just trembling. It seems any sudden loud noise would give her the terrors. She is better, but still not completely over it.

On August 11, mom and dad drove from Wisconsin to Ohio to rescue me from a Pupppy Mill. I cried a little that night because I missed my brother and sister. They were headed to Carolina. Wow, I'll probably never see them again!

I was pretty headstrong, so dad wasn't real happy with me at first. Then I went to kindergarden and learned really fast. Dad and me were best of pals after that! He went to the Rainbow Bridge to be with Skipper and EmmeLu on Christmas. I don't understand why he is not here any more. Mom is really sad, and whenever she cries, I try to cheer her up.

I am such the very good girl outside! I love to watch the bunnies and birds, but I don't bark a lot. That seems to make my mom happy.

I have a really neat Aunt and Uncle who have deer and chipmonks outside their patio. The Chipmonks just run away, but the deer stamp their feet and snort at me. I guess it is a good thing there is a fence between us.

I am a good escape artist, and I don't come back when I'm called. There is too much to sniff and run after! Mom keeps the doors locked and has notes pasted on the doors so people don't give me an escape route (dog-gone!). But my nephew did let me escape up in Waupaca. Whee, what fun! I ran straight down the road. Mom almost had a heart attack. We had a two mile hike and she decided to turn around and head back to the house. I thought, whoa, wait for me! I beat her back to Uncle Tom's and into the house. That should teach mom not to turn her back on me and try to go away! It is much more fun to run away -- and I can run like the wind!

Mom is typing this for me, and she is getting very tired. I'll have to wait for her to be awake more before I can add to this. Meanwhile, Enjoy Life!! Mackinze
