This was posted in a Golden Retriever Group I am on the other day and it couldn't be more fitting for today:
" It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with
a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
-- Cheryl Zuccaro
Here is a little poem I felt inspired to write today in memory of my sweet Sebastian Yoda (warning may be a tear jerker):
Today in my arms you bravely went
Your time on earth was lovingly spent
With your antics, jig and wiggles too
You lightened up the Thompson Zoo.
Meeting you was such a privilege
Now you wait at Rainbow Bridge.
The day will come when I shall find you
and one day Zoey will come too.
Until then my sweet little boy
Live a life at the bridge full of joy
As my tears fall gently on my face
I long for the day when we shall embrace
I will hold your memories dear
You are now free of all your fears
Sebastian Yoda my sweetest little man
Our lives you've filled as the best you can.
Rest in Peace, my baby boy, until we meet again at Rainbow Bridge
Dedicated to my little Sebastian Yoda
